A Visit to the Japanese American National Museum

We visited the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. We each created an origami box, spoke personally with Internment Camp survivors and each did a group presentation on what we learned. Rachel Kondo’s Family had purchased her a brick as one of the donor families in the past and we got to look for and find her brick to honor her Japanese American heritage. We learned a lot about the mistakes of the past and how to change the future so this type of injustice never occurs again.
