On Friday, March 22, the St. Hedwig School Band, led by Tom Mitter, performed at the Los Alamitos Community Center as a part of the city’s Weekend of the Arts Festival.
All of the rooms in the community center were used to display art work created by local Los Alamitos artists. On the main performance stage there were dance ensembles, a choir form McAuliffe Middle School, other performing groups and all of the ensembles from St. Hedwig School: the Green Band, the Gold Band and the Jazz Combo.
This was a great opportunity for St. Hedwig School musicians to play off campus and experience the feeling of performing in a new environment.
