Sacrament Preparation
At St. Hedwig Catholic School, we are committed to guiding students and their families on their faith journey through the celebration of the sacraments. Throughout the school year, all students receive the Eucharist or blessing weekly at Mass, fostering a continual connection to Christ’s presence in their lives.
Our sacramental programs nurture both heart and mind, fostering a lifelong connection to our faith community.
In first grade, students begin preparing for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, laying the foundation for these important spiritual milestones received in second grade.
In 2nd grade, students receive their First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation, important milestones in their spiritual growth.
Students in grades 3 through 8 (2 times a year) participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, deepening their understanding of God’s mercy.
Each month, classes are invited to spend time in Eucharistic Adoration—a quiet time of prayer and reflection that offers students the chance to grow in faith, deepen their relationship with Jesus, and experience the peace of His presence.
Additionally, our 8th graders prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, strengthening their commitment to their Catholic faith as they approach high school.

5th Grade Teacher, Mr. Zeiller, gets baptized
We also welcome baptisms for students of all ages, embracing the whole family in God’s grace — and we are here to help you set up this special sacrament.
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.”
— Matthew 28:19
