STUDENT LIFE
Enrichment & Extracurriculars

At St. Hedwig, we believe that education is more than just academics—it’s about nurturing the whole child.
Our enrichment programs and extracurricular activities offer students opportunities to explore their
passions, develop new skills, and grow as confident, creative, and compassionate individuals.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Enrichment refers to learning experiences that go beyond the core curriculum during the school day. Even when enrichment subjects are graded, they are still considered enrichment because they are intended to enhance a student’s educational experience in a well-rounded way, rather than meet state academic standards in core subjects.
Our enrichment programs are designed to expand students’ knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on, engaging activities.
Examples of enrichment classes at St. Hedwig may include:
- Art
- Music
- STREAM
- Spanish
- Physical Education
ExTRACURRICULARS
Extracurriculars take place outside the regular school day or in non-academic blocks. These activities focus on building leadership, teamwork, creativity, and school spirit—and they’re a fun way for students to get involved in the St. Hedwig community.
Examples of extracurriculars include:
- Academic Decathlon
- All Things Science STEM Academy
- Cheer
- Chess Class
- Choir
- Color Kidz Art
- Golf
- Running Club
- Safety Team
- Student Council
- Student Ambassadors
- Tennis & Pickleball
- Theater
Extracurriculars are usually not graded and are optional, but they play a vital role in building friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
