Principal's Welcome

I am absolutely delighted to be joining your community and to serve as your new principal. Our school community has dedicated, talented members committed to doing what is in the best interest of our students. We will continue to put students first at St. Hedwig and work diligently to ensure their success.

My professional background is rooted in Catholic education and leadership. For the past twenty years, I have worked mostly in Catholic education as a leader, teacher, mentor, and math specialist. Yes, I love math! Some of my most recent teaching positions are teaching 5th grade at St. Thomas Aquinas in Avondale, AZ, teaching 6th grade at St. Bonaventure, and serving as the Vice Principal at Saints Simon & Jude. This is my fifth year in the Diocese of Orange, and I look forward to using my collective experiences as your new principal.

In addition to my professional achievements, my greatest blessing is my family. I am a wife to my loving, supportive husband, Matthew, and a mother to three amazing children, Madelinn, Breann, and Andrew. My girls are at Marina High School, and my son is in the 7th grade here at St. Hedwig's. As a parent, I always want what is best for my children and will work tirelessly to ensure your children have the best possible experiences at St. Hedwig.

With my goal of continuing the positive traditions and academic excellence here at St. Hedwig, I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to communicate more effectively with parents and our Catholic community. I can assure you that I share in our Catholic school’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them with a world-class learning environment.

I am honored and humbled to serve as the new principal of St. Hedwig Catholic School, and look forward to meeting our children, teachers, parents, and community members. In closing, please know that my door is always open to you.

I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout the year. I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our children and look forward to celebrating our collective success this school year.

Blessings,
Mrs. Erin Frlekin
