Grade 6-8 Service Learning Program
Grade 6-8 Service Learning Program
Students in grades six through eight are required to complete ten hours of service each school year and will graduate St. Hedwig Catholic School having given at least thirty hours of their time in service to others. Students participate in many different kinds of service, and a portion of this service is provided to the parish. To help students fully understand that service is rooted in Catholic values and is a part of their Catholic identity, they are expected to complete reflections on their service projects. Additionally, students are recognized for completing more than the required number of service hours at a Morning Assembly. Students are taught that they share God’s love through their service.
